You Gotta Love It

I checked on my poor abused truck this morning. Waiting for parts and trying to remove the broken studs from the head without destroying the head were on the burner for my mechanic. Pretty nice guy for the most part. Usually, it is a distinct lack of personality and character that I notice most about these wrench turners. You are looked at as a revenue source and as a source of agitation when things go not as planned. I managed to get in some walking this morning and feel better as a result. I have been cooped up in this hotel room and getting out and getting some air is good for the body.

I have been working the remote out as well and if it weren't for the commercials, there would not be 45 minutes of programming in six hours run. I just get annoyed with all the commercials that repeat and repeat. I am not going to buy a swiffer, period.

I went to a restaurant yesterday and I found that Ruby Tuesdays is a rather nice, expensive restaurant. I ordered a triple prime burger and it was nice but not on the level of an In-N-Out burger. The price, $9.49 plus beverage and tip. I wish that there was an In-N-Out here...Well gotta go for now...Dedication:[

Sharonville, There are worse armpits!

Well, my day started with ambition and is slowly ending in a relentless tide of quick sand. I was over at the KW dealership first thing this morning and was told that they would be glad to look at my truck...this afternoon. Well, it was the answer I was not looking for but it will have to do as I do not have a tow truck here with me at this moment.

The frustrating thing here is the fact that first of all, I was supposed to be home by the 5Th of March for a meeting. Bret, who had 3 weeks to react managed to screw that up and not get me home. I ended up being sent to Virginia while asshole boy realigned his three brain cells to allow for thought. If he had only done his job, I would still probably have broke down, but that would have been after I had arrived home in time of my appointment.

My wife is very upset by the situation. She does not function well when I am gone. And I have been gone too long now. I asked Bret what his plan was to get me home and He replied that He did not know but he would try. I told him that this was really hard on my family. He amazingly replied that yes he understood what I am going through. I really think that he has no idea what it is like to have somewhat of a plan and simply have that plan shattered because of a mistake of a "manager" that is simply there for a paycheck. When I get home, Bret is going to ask me when I am coming back...I will reply 2 weeks and if he says one thing about that, I will reply 3 weeks. I am pretty sure that he is planning on me taking only 4 or 5 days off. I am going to screw up that plan and hopefully give some insight to someone who sorely needs it. Dedication"/

Broke Down Again

I was driving along nicely on hwy 9 in Kentucky. I had entered Maysville and stopped at at signal. I tuned my radio to the trucker Open Road Channel 171 and got the green light. I accelerated and then it sounded like 2 of my cylinders went dead and left me with no power. I accelerated anyway as I didn't need to park in the road. I pulled behind a closed store and waited 10 hours for the tow truck to get there. Once there, he drove 15 miles per hour in the festive ice storm over to Sharonville to drop me and my defunct truck at the Kenworth dealer. In the morning, I walked over there and found that everyone on the Saturday shift had taken a Snow Day.

It will be Monday before I hear or see any signs of life at the mighty Kenworth dealer... Dedication:(
